1

How do I make a tunnel bubble disappear?

Leave the car in the sun for 2 hours, or heat it gently with a hairdryer for a few minutes. Then roll from the center of the window to the edge to remove the bubble.

2

What if the silkscreen (dotted lines) always appear white with the film?

Wait one week after installation and reapply with a soft cloth (microfiber). For Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat and some BMW brands, the outline is very pronounced. The silk-screen pattern will be softened, but may still be visible.

3

Why do I have white spots on my windows?

This is due to poor cleaning, with small particles of dust creating extra thickness and giving the white appearance.

4

What are films made of?

The films are made from pigmented polyester with vacuum-sprayed aluminum. This enables the film to reflect radiant heat.

5

Why does the film catch on when I maroon it?

There's not enough soapy water (not greasy enough), which doesn't allow the film to glide over the glass.

6

What should I do if the film peels off the bottom of the sliding windows?

This happens when the drying time has not been respected, or the film has not been correctly applied behind the seal. When you lower the window, the film turns inside out and peels off. The only solution is to replace the film, which is now unusable.

7

What if lines appear on the film?

The film needs cleaning. Problem with the window wiper, the seal is deteriorated on the inside and rubs and scratches the film. Need to change licker.

8

How can I remove the white bubbles that appear on my glass?

The only alternative is to pierce with a needle and press out.

9

I made a hole in the film when loading the car, what should I do?

Depending on the size of the damaged area, whether it's a small hole, plus or minus 2 mm, or a smaller scratch measuring 3 cm and 1 mm thick, you'll need to fill the hole with a marker.

10

What can I do if there is still a day to go after applying window film?

If the daylight is less than 3 mm, correct the edge with an invisible marker.

11

When I unpacked my kit, the films were scratched and corrugated. Is this normal?

This is normal! This is due to the protective film, which must be removed during installation. This film is damaged by thermoforming. The films are thermoformed for easier installation. During this phase in our workshops, the film is heated and maroufléed to the shape of your windows. You won't see a thing once it's applied!

12

How long are films guaranteed, and against what?

The films are guaranteed for up to 10 years against demetallization, color change and cracking.

13

Are the films environmentally friendly?

Yes, that's right! Having a film on your car saves on air conditioning, and therefore fuel. What's more, the film is recyclable!

14

How much does it cost to install a tinted glass kit?

At Variance Auto, if you do the installation yourself (which is perfectly feasible), you won't have to pay anything for it! Just spend a little time watching our tutorials, and do the installation at home. This saves you several hundred euros for a professional installer.

15

Are tinted front windows legal?

Les vitres teintées à l'avant sont légales si elles laissent passer entre 70% et 100% de la luminosité. Si elles obscurcissent trop la vitre (<70%), elles ne seront plus réglementaires.
