Are tinted windows on cars approved?
Approved tinted windows: what does the law say?
Do you want to avoid the sweltering heat in your car in the middle of summer? Do you want more privacy or a more assertive style for your titine? Then tinted film is clearly your ally! But when the time comes to install it, an important question arises: are tinted windows really approved? We explain everything.
Variance Auto tinted windows
At Variance Autowe know that the regulations surrounding tinted windows may seem a little vague... but don't worry, we're here to guide you!
- All our tinted film kits are approved and comply with current legislation. It's simple: if a product doesn't comply with regulations, it's clearly indicated on the product sheet!
- What's more, you'll automatically receive a certificate of approval with your kit, so you'll have proof at hand in case of an inspection.
🔎 A quick reminder of the law: since January 2017, front windows must let in at least 70% of light (TLV or Visible Light Transmission). If they don't, they're forbidden.
Basically: if you choose a tinted film from Variance Auto, you can go ahead with your eyes closed - it's approved and safe for roadworthiness testing 😉
