Tinted film for your car: a real improvement in comfort

With the Dark Smoke 5 film, you can effectively protect yourself from prying eyes by tinting the windows of your car.

This dark tinted film is perfect for your van or other type of car for transporting goods or people. By allowing only 5% of light to pass through, this car film creates a real barrier against outside eyes and offers complete privacy at the rear of your vehicle. Beware, therefore, that this dark tinted film partially reduces the field of vision at the rear of the vehicle!

In addition to meeting privacy needs, this Dark Smoke 5 film allows you to reduce solar energy by 65% to achieve a comfortable temperature in your car and reduce the need for air conditioning. It also blocks 99% of UV rays and reduces glare by 95% for the pleasure of your car's passengers.

This dark black solar film is ideal for the rear windows of your car.

Please note that this film is very dark and can therefore obscure the view, especially in winter or in bad weather. The darker colour makes this film a little thicker than the others, so it is less easy to apply and thermoform.

Important note: our supplier of Premium range car tinting film is the world renowned brand 3M. You may therefore find a small "3M" logo on your roll film and window tinting kit. If this is a problem for you, you can remove the logo with a soft cloth and window cleaner (or acetone).

Please do not lower the windows until the film has dried. Allow to dry for about two days, depending on the exposure of the glass (sunny or not). Milky or orange-peel effects may appear as a result of the soapy product on the adhesive. These effects are normal, and you just need to let the film dry for them to disappear. You can apply a piece of tape to the open/close button to remind you to wait before opening your window.

  • How do I remove my tinted window film?

  • Do you install tinted window kits?


    Our tinted window kits are designed so you can install them yourself. That's why they're pre-cut and thermoformed to fit your vehicle model. So you don't have to go to a professional 😉

  • What is thermoforming used for?


    Thermoforming makes it easier to apply the film to the glass. By thermoforming (i.e. "heating") a film, it is molded onto its substrate.


    To recognize thermoformed film, you'll notice that it has a slightly "crumpled" appearance. Once installed, this effect will no longer be noticeable.


    Thermoforming is carried out by us when you order a tinted window kit. If you buy tinted film by the linear meter, you'll have to do the thermoforming and cutting yourself.


  • I'm not sure which tinted window kit to choose: what should I do?


    If you're not sure which model to choose, or if you need advice, please contact our sales department directly by filling in this form.


    You will need to send photos of the vehicle concerned with the windows clearly visible.


  • Are tinted windows legal?


    For front windows, there are regulations. For rear windows, there are none. 


    The legally authorized reference for front windows is Extrême Clair 70 (the lightest tint we offer).
