Detailed description

Tinted film for your car: a real improvement in comfort

Discover this tinted film for medium black car headlights to stylize the look of your car! Install it quickly and remove it whenever you want to personalize your vehicle. This gray headlight film is best applied to the rear headlights, because of their dark tint.

Once the film has been applied, the light will diffuse evenly and last for 7 years in outdoor installations.

The composition of this tinted headlamp film, together with the presence of "air free" technology, offers you unrivalled installation comfort! Thermoformable and highly flexible, the film will fit even the most curved optics. You can even use it on camper van curved polycarbonate windows.

We recommend that you apply this tinted car headlight film dry, and avoid porous, painted, dirty or excessively soft surfaces. Always clean the surface thoroughly before application, otherwise the film's adhesion may be compromised. The recommended application temperature is between 10 and 28°C. For maintenance, use water or non-abrasive detergents, with a clean, soft cloth to avoid the risk of scratching. If pressurized water is used for cleaning, never direct the jet towards the edges of the film, as the force of the water could lift or detach it. However, the nozzle should be perpendicular to the surface to be cleaned, never at an angle, and at least 1 m away. This lighthouse-tinted film has a gloss finish; if you don't take care of it, it could become dull and scratchy.

Note: French high beam lighting regulations require that headlights continue to illuminate at least 100 meters away. Variance Auto declines all responsibility for the misuse of these tinted headlight films.

Installation tip: on this product, remember to remove the TWO protective liners: the white liner at the back (which acts as a support) + the transparent liner at the front (which protects the film).

  • Is it legal to tint your headlights?

    There's no law against tinting headlights. However, regulations do require headlights to be visible at a minimum distance of 100 meters. Check this criterion to avoid having to remove them.

  • How do I apply my headlight films?

    Before laying, make sure you have the right materials and optimal installation conditions: no wind, ambient temperature between 15 and 25°C.

  • Why can't I thermoform my lighthouse film correctly?

    Be careful to remove the protective liner. On some models, such as OPTI-65s, there are two protective liners: one that protects the adhesive, another that protects the film on the other side. Both liners must be removed. If in doubt, please contact an advisor.

  • How much does it cost to tint a light with lighthouse film?

    The price will depend on the reference you choose, the dimensions you need, and whether you request a custom cut. To get a precise idea, we invite you to enter your dimensions in a product data sheet. The price will be calculated automatically.
