Before starting to apply your reflective tape, we advise you to read the following precautions:
  • Recommended installation temperature: +18 °C to +26 °C
  • Ideally, bring the vehicle to be equipped into the garage the day before
  • Installation protected from dust and wind

Step 1: Prepare the surface for the reflective strips

Thoroughly clean the surface to be equipped with isopropyl alcohol (VO187) to strip and degrease the bodywork. Apply the isopropyl alcohol with a cloth in a circular motion. We advise you to pre-cut your reflective marking strips to the desired dimensions so that you do not have to do it directly on the bodywork.

Step 2: Application of reflective tape

  • WET APPLICATION: Spray the bodywork and the adhesive part of the marking tape with plenty of soapy water before application, then position the reflective strips in their final position on the bodywork and press firmly from the centre outwards to remove water and bubbles. Wet application allows you to have flexibility in the adhesion of the film and to reposition it if necessary.

  • Position the reflective tape in its place on the bodywork and attach it with special bodywork tape. This will hold the tape in place during application. Then remove a small part of the protective top liner and unroll the film gently in the direction of the tape, while pressing firmly from the centre outwards. This type of application does not allow you to readjust the position of the tape, so the tape is essential!

Step 3: finishing the installation of the reflective strips

Once the reflective tape is in place, tap it again to remove any remaining air bubbles, always from the centre outwards. Fold the film inwards (if possible) for better adhesion and a nice finish. This step ensures durability and prevents water penetration.

Cleaning and maintenance: Do not clean within 48 hours of application. - To avoid scratching the product, it is advisable to start the cleaning process by rinsing with clear water and low pressure to remove dust. Then clean with a soft sponge and water, possibly with a mild detergent. For high-pressure cleaning: the water jet should form a 90° angle with the surface. Do not remain static on an area. Maximum pressure: 75 bar; Maximum temperature: 50 °C; Distance between the water jet and the retroreflective rafter: minimum 1 metre.
