What does the law say about the film for lighthouses?
Like tinted windows, a headlight film is subject to certain rules from the government. Here are the regulations in force :
- Article R313-2 provides that all vehicles must be equipped with high beams that emit white light in order to effectively illuminate the road at night, on a clear day, over a distance of at least 100 meters;
- Article R313-4 provides that all vehicles must have position lights at the front that allow a white light to be diffused. It must be visible at night, on a clear day, for a distance of at least 150 metres without dazzling other users.

How do you install a headlight film?
Installing a headlight film is not complicated, as long as certain conditions are met, namely:
- Be at the right temperature, i.e. place your vehicle in a place at least +10°C. It is also recommended to be in a place away from all dust and wind;
- Thoroughly clean your headlights and their contours. To do this, there is nothing better than an installation kit including soapy water, a sponge, isopropyl alcohol and a soft cloth. The first step is to clean your headlights with soapy water and sponge. Then, degrease them with the isopropyl alcohol and the soft cloth. If streaks and drips are still present, use a clean, dry cloth to remove them.
Then, the installation of a headlight film will be different depending on the type of film you have chosen. Some can be installed dry or with soapy water.

How do I remove headlight film?
After about 7 years of good and loyal service (duration of our films), the time has come for you to withdraw your film for lighthouses. And to do this, nothing could be simpler, all you have to do is:
- Heat your film with a hairdryer or a heat gun to soften the glue;
- Peel off the film, using a scraper, by grabbing it in the corner of your window;
- Gently and slowly pull the film. For this step, you can use your hair dryer or heat gun to pull it out more easily;
- Remove any remaining glue residue with a scraper and soapy water.
That's all! Your car and its headlights have been restored to their original appearance.
