You don't need to be an expert to successfully apply a low-cost wrapping! With a little patience and the right advice, you can achieve a result worthy of a pro. Here are our tips for stress-free wrapping !

1. Prepare your playground

As you know, preparation is the key to success. Before you do anything, follow these steps:

• Wash your car: a good bath will remove dust, grease and dirt. Opt for a degreasing cleaner with a soft microfiber cloth for a spotless surface.
• Dry thoroughly: a damp car can ruin your wrapping, so take the time to wipe all surfaces with a new clean soft cloth.
• Work in a clean, wind-free environment: a garage or indoor space is ideal for preventing particles from sticking to the film.

Bonus tip: If you want to be a perfectionist, wipe the bodywork with a cloth soaked inisopropyl alcohol to remove any invisible traces.

2. Prepare your wrapping and tools

As mentioned above, good wrapping starts with the right materials! Here's what you need:

• Your favorite wrapping film (you chose it from us, didn't you? 😉 )
• A rubber scraper to smooth out bubbles
• A sharp cutter for precise cuts
• Thermal stripper (or hair dryer) to work the film and soften it
• And, of course, some good music to keep you zen and motivated!

3. Cut and position the film

The time to apply your wrapping is fast approaching, but first :

• Carefully unwind the film and cut pieces slightly larger than each area of your car to be covered. This gives you plenty of room to adjust
• Apply the film without completely removing the protective film. Start by aligning the film correctly with the surface to be covered. Take your time - this is where it all counts!

Bonus tip: work zone by zone(hood, doors, mirrors, roof, bumper, trunk...) to avoid mistakes.

4. Apply the film, it's time to have fun!

This is the moment you've been waiting for!

• Gradually remove the protective film, smoothing it out with your squeegee. Use even strokes, from the center to the edges, to avoid air bubbles. If a bubble appears, don't panic! Lift the film slightly, reposition it and squeegee out the air.
• Curves and angles? Not so complicated! Lightly heat the film with a heat gun to make it more flexible, then gently stretch it so that it conforms perfectly to the shape of the bodywork.

5. Perfect finishes for perfect wrapping 

Once the film has been applied, use your cutter to trim off excess film along the edges. Work carefully to ensure a clean finish. Then lightly heat to set the film and eliminate any stubborn creases or bubbles.

A few professional tips to ensure longevity

A wrapping that lasts over time is a wrapping that is well cared for and pampered. Therefore:

• Do not wash for 48 hours: leave the film to adhere well before washing.
• Maintain your wrapping with care: wash by hand (not with automatic rollers) to avoid damaging the wrapping.
• Avoid abrasive products: a soft cloth andsoapy water are all you need.
