1

How to choose your film wrapping

You can choose between 2D and 3Dwrapping .

The wrapping 2D are calendered films. They are generally used for flat or slightly curved surfaces. These wrapping are comfortable to use, but do not accept large deformations.

wrapping 3D are cast films. They are particularly popular for highly curved surfaces with irregular shapes. Thanks to their composition, they can be thermoformed for easy handling. They are suitable for curved auto parts.

2

Can you install your wrapping yourself?

wrapping packs make installation easy. Choose references with Airflow honeycomb structured glue for crease- and bubble-free installation (reference with an "a" at the end).

Thanks to this special feature, air bubbles can be easily expelled through small channels in the glue.

In our product sheets, they are called "Airflow" glues ;)

3

How to wash a car with a wrapping ?

The parts of your body covered with wrapping can be maintained in the same way as the rest of the vehicle. You just have to take care of the cuts and the joints: for that, we advise you against washing with a roller to avoid any delamination.

Is it possible to remove a wrapping ?

Yes, you can apply your wrapping at any time without leaving a trace on your vehicle's bodywork. The adhesive used is specially formulated to ensure that you can restore the original bodywork at any time.

5

What's the best movie wrapping ?

It's the one that suits your needs! If you want to make a stripe, a roof, a rear end, a bumper, a hood, for example, you don't need to invest in 3D. 2Dwrapping is perfectly suited to the job, and you'll find it easier on your budget. On the other hand, for total wrapping or rear-view mirrors, the most suitable film is 3D wrapping .

If your budget allows, you can invest in the Avery Dennison or 3M brands. These brands are renowned for their superior product and adhesive quality. You'll find many of them on our website ;)

6

What are the disadvantages of wrapping ?

wrapping has very few drawbacks. It's a great alternative to paint.

However, there are a few points to bear in mind: the bodywork must be in very good condition, with no major scratches or pokes, as the film will adhere to shapes. It will also adhere to imperfections, which will stand out.

Also, you can do the installation yourself, but if you decide to have it done by a professional, it can get pretty expensive. That's why we've set up lots of installation tutorials and tips on our social networks like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube! 😉

7

8

How does wrapping age?

Properly installed, a wrapping will last for several years. Its durability is determined by the quality of the film, vehicle preparation, surface cleaning, installation method and maintenance.

Of course, a high-quality film such as Avery or 3M, properly installed and maintained, can last up to 10 years or more!

Conversely, if the wrapping (even a major brand) has been incorrectly installed, and the car has not been properly cleaned, the wrapping may come unstuck and be damaged.

9

How do I calculate the linear metres I need for my full wrapping ?

The simple, fast and effective solution: The wrapping total calculator! 😉

Inform :

  • Car brand ;
  • The model ;
  • The generation ;
  • The series.

The calculator will directly indicate the number of linear meters you need to order, including an extra meter of margin. 🔥

Is your car not listed in the calculator? Don't worry, here's some additional information to help you. 👇

For cars, we generally take the length of the vehicle andmultiply it by 3.

Example: I have a Toyota RAV4. Its length is 4.6m. I multiply 4.6 x 3 = 13.8. I'll order a minimum of 14 meters of wrapping for a total wrapping. We recommend adding an extra meter or two just in case!

For other vehicles such as caravans or vans, we recommend multiplying by 4 or 5, as the height is greater.

The same applies to motorcycles. If you have a big sports bike, we recommend multiplying the length by 4.
